Dr. Babatunde Abiodun Obadele

Dr. Babatunde Obadele is a Senior Lecturer at the Botswana International University of Science and Technology, Botswana and also a Fellow at University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He obtained His First Degree (Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng Honours)) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. He completed His Master Degree (M.Tech: Eng) in 2012 and Doctoral Degree in 2015 from the Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria. His research activities involve basic and applied researches which include Materials, alloys/composite development, corrosion and Tribocorrosion. Dr. Obadele started His research activities from undergraduate level in the field of corrosion where he studied the corrosion response of Ferritic and Super duplex stainless steels in Lagoon and Sea environment. In his Doctoral research, He undertook innovative research studies in the field of developing high temperature and tribocorrosion resistance titanium based alloys and composites for applications in extremely harsh environment such as aerospace, power plants and reactors, mines, chemical and pulp industries. Dr. Obadele focused on surface modifications using laser materials deposition techniques for fabricating engineering materials such as stainless steels, titanium, adaptive tribological composite coatings and shape memory based smart materials. He is currently developing novel admixed powders feedstock and studying the metallurgical interaction during powder consolidation via powder metallurgy processes for biomedical applications. He is also using a combination of modern analytical techniques for characterizing and studying their behaviours, response to different environments and their integrity assessments. He applies the principles of Bio-triboelectrochemical techniques, microscopy techniques, and diffraction analysis as well as destructive and non-destructive techniques for studying materials degradation resulting from corrosion-wear synergies and structural changes and deformation behaviour under applied loads and nonambient conditions. He has wealth of experience related to Wear, Corrosion and Tribocorrosion behaviours of Engineering Materials. Dr. Obadele has published several articles in highly rated Journals in his field of research. He has presented papers in local and international conferences. His current h-index in Scopus is 23.

Dr. Henry Mosi’ Agbogun

Dr. Henry Agbogun is currently the Secretary, Canada Region AAPG Executive Committee. He obtained an M.Sc in Petroleum Geochemistry from the Newcastle University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England and a Ph.D in Geology from the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, Canada. His research interests include Petroleum Geochemistry, Digital Rock Physics, Hydrogeochemistry, Structural Geology, Engineering Geology, Core Analysis, Geothermal Energy and Environmental Impact Assessments. Dr. Agbogun gained an industrial experience with the Trican Well Service Limited, Calgary, Canada between the years 2012 and 2016, where he established a Computed Tomography Laboratory for digital imaging of rock, built a geochemical calibration for an EDXRF instrument for the Montney Fm of Canada, developed X-ray-CT technique for the 3-D quantification of wormholes among others. Dr. Henry Agbogun has won many grants as the Principal Investigator and as a Collaborator. He has reviewed for many high profiled journals in Geosciences.
