Prof. Mohammad Alam Saeed
Vice Chancellor, University of Education, Lahore, Pakistan
Prof. Mohammad Alam Saeed is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education, Lahore, Pakistan. Prior to his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor in 2023, he has been appointed into several Administrative Offices (such as Dean, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and so on) in the University of Education, Lahore. He obtained a Ph.D in 2009 from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. The laboratory and bench works for his Ph.D degree were carried out at the University at Albany New York and at Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), California, USA. He is a Seasoned Researcher who has impacted so many lives positively. Prof. M. A. Saeed has worked as a Visiting Professor in some Universities and Institutes around the Globe. Some of these Higher Learning Institutions include Covenant University, Nigeria; Salahaddin University, Iraq; King Abdul Aziz University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; State University of New York, USA; University at Albany, USA among others. He has also worked with Albany High Energy Physics Group at the State University of New York at Albany, New York. He had also been involved with CLEO (at Cornell University, Ithaca) and BaBar experiment at Stanford Linear Accelerator Centre (SLAC), California USA as a member of Albany group. Prof. Saeed was involved in Monte Carlo Production, Data Quality Monitoring and High Energy Physics data analysis between year 2002 and 2004. He has worked on ATLAS Detector in wafers testing and collaborated with other professionals in the industry to profer solutions to some problems in the Energy Sector. Prof. Alam Saeed has served as an Editor and a Reviewer to various International Journals. Some of the awards he has received include Excellent Service Award from Faculty of Science, UTM in 2014 and 2015; Publication Award by NRA in 2013; and others. He was awarded the Ministry of Science and Technology Scholarship in 2001 and the US Department of State Scholarship in 2004. He has won and completed Research Grants that worth millions of Rupees. Presently, he has a total number of 523 documents in Scopus with an h-index of 81 and an h-index of 115 in Google Scholar. His research records can also be tracked on ORCID and Web of Science.

Prof. K. Srinivas Reddy (FNAE)

Prof. K. Srinivas Reddy obtained his Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in Energy Studies in 1999. He then joined National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW) in June 1999, after a brief service of about 4 years at NITW, he joined IIT Madras in April 2003 as an Assistant Professor. Presently, Dr. K. Srinivas Reddy is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras and he is also an honorary professor at University of Exeter, UK. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at CEERI-CSIR, Chennai from year 2014 to 2017. Prof. Reddy is a Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering (FNAE) and he is a specialist in Renewable Energy with special research interests in Concentrated Solar Power, Energy Efficiency & Environment, Fossil & Renewable Power Plant Engineering and Thermal Property Characterization of Two-Phase Materials. He has 8 patent applications and more than 200 publications in reputed international journals, including five review articles on Solar Energy Systems and Energy Storage. His co-authored book on “Sustainable energy and the environment: a clean technology approach” Published by Springer and book chapters on solar energy systems are popular among energy and environment community. Prof. K. Srinivas Reddy’s research areas include concentrated solar power (CSP) and concentrated photovoltaic (CPV), solar energy technologies for process heat and power generation, thermal energy storage, solar energy for desalination and effluent treatment, 4-E (Energy-Exergy-Environmental-Economic) analyses of power plant cycles, renewable energy system integration for energy efficiency and thermo-physical property estimation of two-phase materials. He is actively involved in the implementation of solar thermal technologies for power generation and process heat applications through “Design-Development Demonstration-Deployment (4-D)” approach. He has executed several research projects related to solar energy and energy & environment funded by various national and international agencies such as DST, MNRE, AICTE, RCUK, EPSRC, UKIERI and ICIMPACT. His work on estimation of thermal conductivity & thermo-physical properties and characterization of engineering materials significantly benefited the industrial associates for development of energy efficient thermal insulation materials. In recognition of his research work, Dr. Reddy received several awards such as WSSET Innovation award, Shri J. C. Bose Patent award and twice, the Bhagyalakshmi and Krishna Ayengar Awards. He also won career award for young teachers from AICTE in 2003. Very recently, He received the Mid-Career Level Institute Research and Development Award (IRDA)-2018. He is an expert committee member in various selection/ review committees and the Visitor’s nominee for IIT Delhi. As a part of human resource developmental activities, he has supervised over 176 undergraduate, M.Sc and Ph.D. students, most of them are well placed and working now in prestigious organizations. He organized several national & international workshops on advanced renewable energy technologies. His current h-index in Scopus is 48 while that of the Google Scholar is 54.
